On a rainy morning of Aug 01 2004, the 2k4 batch assembelled in the Convocation Hall of the Delhi College of Engineering. Aspirations and Hope in their faces, winners feeling in heart after conquering a relentless and tough competitive world.... Nobody knew then that 62 of them will after 4 years be able to call themselves a bonded group... Not just literally but indeed a group.. a group that we are PROUD to say as 2k4 CIVIL BATCH... All have there individual share of happiness, sorrow, fun, laughter over all these 4 yrs... but it was the collective feelings, emotions and sentiments of those 62 ppl that has compelled them to pen their thoughts about their dearest pals... their fav classmates, roommates.....

The 4 years in DCE has brought out varied personalities out of each one of us... helped us to understand how difficult the life is... and more so made us realise how easy it is with FRIENDS!!! Iski ek aadat hai jo bahut achhi lagti hai, jab bhi hum ise koi kaam bina bataye kar lete
hain aur use baad mein batate hain to woh kehta hai "yaar mujhe bhi batadeta, main bhi

When u se him the first time he seems to b a very gissu type of a guy who does not ever
got out to the ground but there he is gopi as I call him , he is gud at studies (A SERIOUS
UNDERSTATEMENT) but very fond of playing at the ground too. He is always there to
help the C1 group ,but that’s not all he is a die hard fan of railways has al the info about
then , kabhi kabhi toi mujhe lagta hai ki even his heart goes onn “chuuk chuuk “ rather

Gopi was really the mainstay of the C1 group. how on earth could we have managed to
do our work without him! A very helpful person ,one could always depend on him for
any kind of help. His dedication towards work was for everyone to see. No matter what
the circumstances, his work was always complete. But where he stood out from others
was the fact that he had his share of fun and enjoyment as well and knew how to balance

The Train-Man is a great guy and one of my best friends. Truly someone who is there for
you whatever the circumstances maybe. His passion for trains, Swades and Vivah is
dangerously high, I hope the employees of EIL know this about him !!! Uske self-made
short notes exam se pehle bahut kaam aate the. Thanks yaar!!! Uske saath college se ghar
tak ka lamba raasta bhi chota ho jaata tha. He introduced me to the art of catching DTC
buses. I will always cherish the time we enjoyed during Engifest Fun-n-Games and at
Solan. We always tend to loose some of our old friends but I hope that doesn't happen to

man in it. Why I m mentioning this is because that guy had a whole train world of his
own and believe me- That is one thing Gopi would die for!!!!!!!! This guy swears by

"Sheik!- Encyclopedia on Indian Railways" He is a great guy to talk to and always
manages to blend into any type of group. I have never seen him feeling socially awkward
in any situation or group- quite an admirable trait! He is the guy who has provided me
with all the resources before the exam. I always call him up at the eleventh hour and ask
for stuff that I should have had from the first week of the semester. I am sure I must have
got onto his nerves many a times, but he has always been very patient and never once
said no. Thanks man! Thank God both of us live in a radius of 3km! For otherwise it
would have taken me much longer to get out of this college. :)

table tennis and is the captain of lawn tennis team. As far as his nature is concerned he is
a cool guy and i have never seen him angry. He has been a good friend of mine since the

A really wonderful friend of mine. Bahut hi innocent hai. Aur hamesha har baat sahi hi
kehta hai, kyunki kabhi maanta hi nahi ki sahi nahi hai..lol. Guy, with a very positive
attitude and tries to make everything positive around him. Amazing sportsperson and
always tries to compete with me..hah. Hostel lene ke liye hamesh fired up rehta tha par
jab milta tha to he was always lost. Kya karein, homesick hai na. Monday to Friday ek
saath shayad kabhi nahi ruka aur jab ruka hai to playing ground mein hi paaya gaya hai..

One half of the Jain&Jain duo, whether he likes it or not. Got to learn to live life from
him. I mean he commits the same mistakes all of us commit, has the same angst as every
engineering student, but in my college life, I've never once seen him get angry or terribly
upset at anything. Even his tries to look angry have failed. The lightness of his nature and
a style in his way of life that makes no challenge hard enough, and no task easy enough.
The perfect follower of the middle path. However bad the situation maybe, whatever the
problem, remains as calm as a Hindu cow. To top that off he looks so innocent and
shareef, you could mistake him for a Buddhist Zen master in jeans. But here, the
screensaver ends. The myth will be dispelled as soon as you commit one mistake in front
of him. He will index all mistakes of your life and use it to counter you in all situations
that you find yourself in argument with him. He truly believes in the iconic American
Police line- Anything you say or do, can be and will be used against you. But then, he is
the master of ironies after all. A devil with an angelic disposition about him, has such a
cool smooth manner of making you understand why you suck so much that you'll thank
him for it. Hits the most powerful cricket shot to get out and bowls the slowest ball ever
to take a wicket. And it goes on and on and on. But again, despite mercilessly,
methodically tearing you apart with surgical precision, why does anyone who comes
under his firing line wants to remain that way? And despite obvious skills like computers,
brilliant analytical skills, a knack for winning all impromptu debates, religion-like
fanaticism towards sports and Sachin Tendulkar, his biggest quality cannot be described
using any definite article or a qualitative adjective. For anything and everything he does
(or avoids doing), there's a touch of class, which is inseparable from his persona. A
genuine sense of sense behind his seemingly senseless actions as well. A touch of class,
which sets him a class apart. And for such a guy with an ability to win all challenges he
faces in life, even when he loses, he's got class, from a different league altogether. There's
no other easy way to define him. But that's just as well, because it gives me the
opportunity to keep trying.

He is great Sachin Tendulkar fan. Saare Sachin ke statistics yaad hai ise. Mere saath
bahut bahasbaji karta hai sachin ko leke. He has got a never say die attitude. Impossible

same birthday ("8th July"). Simplicity is his trademark. Good batsman and a fun-loving
